Android users using Version 8 and Higher you may have noticed you no longer have an option to select iSpyFire Sounds in the app. This was an update done by Android, to allow you to have complete control over your sounds so we thought we would show you how to maximize your sounds for the ISpyfire app, by having our sounds! That is if you want them. But because Android changed up your control settings you can have any sounds you can download to be a sound for Calls in iSpyFire Mobile!

Below is the step-by-step on how to get you all set up and ready with our iSpyFire sounds!

(STEP 1)
Go into your settings on your device.

(STEP 2)
Select NOTIFICTIONS.

(STEP 3)
Select the iSpyFire app.

(Step 4)
You will then see a list ...

Location-services (You can ignore this there is no need for sounds on the location services)

Announcements

Callbacks

Here you will want to make sure each one is ON according to what you would like to receive notifications for.

Then when you jump into one of the 4 above, you will see IMPORTANCE and SOUND.

(Step 5)
Select IMPORTANCE and you will see a list.

Urgent

High

Medium

Low

BE SURE if you want notifications to select URGENT.

(Step 6)
Going back to the previous page you will then select Sound.

Here you will see a list of iSpyFire Sounds to choose from.
Select the sound for the type of notification, and you will be set!

WHAT IF I DON'T SEE THE ISPYFIRE SOUNDS IN MY SETTINGS?

We have found that if they do not appear in your settings, you can simply Uninstall the iSpyFire app, then Reinstall the app and they should be in your settings.

NOTE: The login information at the time of uninstallation will still be your current log in, it will not change. So use the same Email and Password.

If the sounds do not appear please visit this link here, and follow the steps below: Go to https://www.ispyfire.com/sounds to download the sounds you want directly onto your device.

BEFORE you start you will need to download the "FILE MANAGER"app, If you don't already have the app.

Then Go to https://www.ispyfire.com/sounds
Once you pick the sound you want...
Click on the name of the sound.

Then you will see the file, select the 3 dots to the far right.

Then you will see Download, select Download.

Then you will need to go to the "File Manager" app, select it.

Here you will see the sound you downloaded "ship_bell.mp3"
Hold down until you see that its been selected

Then you will see the 3 dots at the top of the screen, select that after you have selected the sound. Then select "Move To"

Then select "internal Storage"

Then find the notifications folder, select that folder.

Then you will see this, select "ok"

Then that's it! You have the sound in your sounds on your device.

Then follow Steps 1- 6 at the beginning of this page and you should be set!

When dealing with information that does not need to be seen, or after the call has closed you can clear the comments in the "Actions tab" by selecting "Clear CAD Call Comments". This feature is only given to PSAPS.

NOTE! This deletes all the information in the CAD comments, and is not stored with iSpyFire.

This action can only be done within the 24hr period the call sits in the dashboard.

This action can be done on the mobile devices as well for the PSAP users.

Here you have a call you want to keep the information safe. Select the call to see the comments.

From here select the Actions tab.

Here you can see the option to " Clear CAD Call Comments" select that and the comments will be deleted.

After selecting "People" you will see 3 main things...

1.) "Create New" at the top. This is for new users more information can be found here Create A New User

2.) "Sign-In Sheet" here is a list of all the personal in your agency, you can print off the page and its all ready for an attendance count.

3.) A list of all personal in alphabetical order to last name.

From the people tab you can do many things.
By selecting a user you can reset a users password more can be found here at Reset A Users Password

You can also update users information like home address, and phone number.

If you want to change a users email you will need to note somethings before hand if the user has multiple iSpyFire accounts (works for two agencies), so for more information on updating a persons email visit Notifications for Multiple Agencies + Fast Agency Switching for more info!

The ERS Interface status mapping allows you to set up and make the most out of using the ERS add on with iSpyFire, pushing data and times into ERS for easy reporting.

The first display shows under "ERS status" how it reads in ERS, and the next column "Dispatch Status" is how it reads in iSpyFire From dispatch.

So "ENRT" comes from dispatch, then iSpyFire live updates the times, and live pushes into ERS, which then equals "Enroute" in ERS.

Next is "Missing Unit Status Mapping"

By clicking "Add New" this will allow you to input the dispatch unit status regardless of what is Toned for by dispatch.

For example lets say dispatch calls for a response out of the 15 house. Depending on how the dispatcher tones them it could be specific like "L15" or it could be "STA15" ("L15" stands for Ladder 15, and "STA15 stands for Station 15)

That being said, to help with pushing times into ERS from iSpyFire you can click on "Add New" and this will pop up...

Here you can input, for example "L15" for unit: "If this unit status is missing".
Then add "STA15" for unit: "Use this unit status instead".

Here you can see a list of "If not" and a "Then use"
So you can see "L15" and "STA15" are connected so if "L15" does not appear it will auto use "STA15" time of dispatch.

Next is Address Mapping, here you can give a City a full address rather then just a City name.

Some CAD systems will only show a city name, but here by adding in the fields, you can auto populate City, State, Zip in ERS by associating the City name, with the City, State, and Zip in iSpyFire.

So here you can see under Dispatch City: "Cashmere" now equals "Cashmere WA 98815"

And by clicking "Remove" you can remove the Address Mapping for a specific City.

And this was a quick overview of the "Settings - ERS" tab in iSpyFire!

Multi-Agency Annoucements

This is for sending messages to all or any agencies near you, and to certain people with in the agencies.

After selecting the agencies you want, select "Add Recipients"
This pop up will show you the "Recipient Count" and allows a space for your Announcement.

Once your Announcement is done you can select "Send" and your Announcement will be sent!

SMS Groups

This is to send messages to a person or a group of people who are NOT ISPYFIRE USERS. Such as messages to S.A.R or For Over Time and Etc.
These Messages are sent as Text Messages and can not be replied to.

After selecting "SMS Groups" you will see this screen. Here you can create a group, add Recipients and create a message.

After selecting Create a Group you will see this, select a name, click "submit"

Then select "yes".

Then select "Edit a group"

Select the group you want.

Select "Add To Group"

Add first and last name along with Phone number. Now you see two Add Buttons. "Add" is if there is one person in the group or at the time you would like to only add one person. "Add+" is to keep adding people to the list, one after another.

Now select the "Add Recipients" Button and this "Send SMS Messages" will appear.
Type out the Subject and Message Then select "Send".
Below that, you can see in a list form the recipient count by selecting "view"

And Below is the message on a mobile device.

The only people that can add or remove an event are Superusers and Admin Users.
Click on any day to add an event.

Fill in the Time, Length, Location, Details, and Event Properties.

Then select "Create"

Now the Event will appear in the Date selected.

If you select the event you will be able to make a change or when the date comes you can add peoples attendance from here by selecting "Attendance"

In the top left you will see a "Reports" button, This is will show you the attendance of the people in your agency on what days for the month shown below.

And this was a quick review of the Events tab in iSpyFire!

A Callback is a great way to have a "Standing/Expiring" list for overtime, as well as sending out for manning durning a large incident or for whatever your needs might be.

Theses lists can be managed as a "Standing" or "Expiring" list.

To start Callbacks you will need to go into the "Settings" tab (if you haven't already) and find "Callbacks" and create the lists you would like to have.

Next is setting your "Responder Types" (if you haven't already, or would like to add different one's) according to your agency.

This will help when creating "Callbacks" and selecting the Response type allowing only those who are wanted like "EMTS" for example to receive the Callback.

Here you can add and remove "Responder types."

Creating a list and adding and removing "Responder types" is easy once you have selected the lists you would like to add, and Responder types set. Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the "Settings" page and click "UPDATE" to save your progress.

Once you are all set, go to the "Callbacks" tab.

What's a BLITZ?
This could be used for any big incident when all personal need to be notified.

The red underlined shows the one click changes that can be done from the users stand point, not for admin control.

And that was a quick set up and review of the "Callbacks" Tab!

In the below example, STA21 and BALL would notify early and make for a good key unit for a notification group. A21 would be a slow notification and would not likely work well to key from.

Notification groups are created through your iSpy website in CAD Settings.

Auto Updating: Disabled turns off nightly updates.

GIS Layer Mapping

Display Name: Set this to what you want layers to be named as when selecting viewable layers in mobile and on the dashboard.

Type: Is this a polygon layer or a points layer.

Show: If checked the layer will be available for viewing in mobile and on the dashboard.

Parse: If checked the CAD interface will parse this layer. For example a layer of the city limits can be parsed for weather or not a call is within the city.

Structure: Is this the structure layer. You may only have one structure layer. This layer can be displayed on the map if you would like by checking the "Show" checkbox. This layer is also what's used for auto complete checking on dashboard live calls. This layer is also what's used to determine a calls location if a location is not found in the calls interface data. The matching for this is done by the address listed in this layer.

Hydrant: If checked, this layer will be used as your agencies hydrant layer.

Steps to QR code user creation:

Managing these notifications is done in the Notification Manager in the Options Menu (Top left Corner)

or by clicking on the Notification icon on the main screen ( top right corner)

The Notification Manager is only available to users who have the same email address (username) listed for their multiple agencies.

For users with multiple iSpyFire agencies you can now switch between your agencies quickly. This is done under the options menu, select switch agency.

This item will not show if you don’t have other agencies you belong to.
You'll need to use the same email address (username) for each agency for this feature to become enabled.

Note - Your passwords will be synchronized between your accounts (if you change your password with one agency, it will also change it with the others)

Announcements
All iSpyFire subscriptions have access to announcements. Announcements are sent to all iSpyFire users for your agency. If you are registered for notifications in iSpyMobile, you'll receive announcements as a push notification. If you are not registered for notifications but do have "send messages to cell phone" checked under My Settings on your Me page you'll receive an SMS text message of the announcement.

Announcements are designed to be a quick way to notify everyone in your agency of something. They can be sent from the dashboard or from within iSpyMobile.

Messages
iSpyFire Pro subscriptions have access to messages. Messages can be broken into different groups of users. For example, you could create an EMT group and send a reminder about an EMT specific training event to just your EMTs. Messages work just like announcements in that if you aren't registered for iSpyMobile notifications you can choose to receive them as a text message.
