GIS Layer Mapping

Display Name: Set this to what you want layers to be named as when selecting viewable layers in mobile and on the dashboard.

Type: Is this a polygon layer or a points layer.

Show: If checked the layer will be available for viewing in mobile and on the dashboard.

Parse: If checked the CAD interface will parse this layer. For example a layer of the city limits can be parsed for weather or not a call is within the city.

Parse Field Return: Inside the "Edit" link next to Parse, this is the database field that is returned if parsing this layer returns in a true result.

Structure: Is this the structure layer. You may only have one structure layer. This layer can be displayed on the map if you would like by checking the "Show" checkbox. This layer is also what's used for auto complete checking on dashboard live calls. This layer is also what's used to determine a calls location if a location is not found in the calls interface data. The matching for this is done by the address listed in this layer.

Placename: Inside the "Edit" link next to Structure, this is the database field that contains the locations placename. For example, a business name.

Address: This is the database field that contains the physical address.

City: This is the database field that contains the city.

Hydrant: If checked, this layer will be used as your agencies hydrant layer.
